If a chest strap is included with j1650 treadmill why would you need polar fti heart rate monitor

A Polar or Suunto heart-rate-monitor allows you to continue to monitor your heart-rate after you hop off the treadmill. The receiver in the treadmill will only work while you are on the treadmill, so people who undertake (for example) circuit training (treadmill, punching bag, pushups, treadmill, etc.) can monitor heart rate continuously with a monitor (and the monitor's chest strap also works with the treadmill).
