Description

Strong, quiet, and foldable manual-magnetic rowing machine with built-in heart-rate receiver, aluminium rail, and 8-levels of resistance. NEED ASSEMBLY? This product is eligible for our Assembly Service in Brisbane (or courier delivery Australia Wide).

We've done a recent video review of this rowing machine - halfway down this page.

With a magnetic rower, the tensions is created by 2 magnets moving past each other, so this is very quiet and smooth, so perfect for home fitness, however it's not the experience you get in a boat. Magnetic tension is fixed for each different level regardless of your rowing speed, whereas in a boat (and also with an Air Rower) the tension increases as you row harder.

This KR6000 machine has 3 versions - the noisier AIR which uses fans for a more water-realistic feel, the MAG (which you're viewing now) which uses manual magnetic resistance for a smoother and quieter experience, and PRO, which is a magnetic resistance controlled by computer ("pro"=programmable).

Well made, very nice to use.

Posted by Collin on 14th Feb 2017

Both my wife and I have been using this rower for the last two weeks. Solid construction, easy to adjust, very nice motion for good cardio work and, hopefully, helping my wife on weight loss. Highly recommended.

    Good to use

Posted by David Laird on 30th Nov 2016

Since I have no experience of competitor equipment I cannot make a confident rating. However, having used it for a while I find it very easy to use, with everything working smoothly and quietly. It was straightforward to assemble, folds up nicely for storage and is easy to make ready for use. The magnetic load adjusting capability suits my exercise approach which requires gradual build-up of resistance as my fitness improves.

    Solid and reliable

The KR6000 is pretty easy to assembly. I spent about an hour to put all parts in place. I have been rowing for two weeks now and everything looks good. The machine is sturdy but quiet. If the aluminum shaft could be 15-20cm longer would make it even better.

    Good experience, solid build

Posted by Anthony on 25th Oct 2016

I have been using the rower for a week now, and I have to say that is is a really good machine. The build quality is quite high, assembly is easy even for a single person, all the parts come packaged well. The negative was that one of the plastic clips for fastening your shoes into the stirrups snapped the very first time I used it. I suspect this might have been fractured or weakened, the strap still works so I haven't bothered doing anything more about it, and the other clip seems to be holding perfectly well. Rowing experience: Smooth and steady, good variation of intensity, fairly quiet, comfortable. As a taller/broader shouldered guy, the handle could be wider but its nothing that can't be dealt with. I will say that the maximum setting is only just enough to push a solid work out. I do 2 minutes warm up on 4, push it up all the way for fifteen minutes, then down to 6 for another 3 minutes, for a quick 20 minute workout after work or in the morning.
